Traveling to the Green City of Kerala

My childhood friend invited me for his marriage in India. It was my first trip to India. I liked the city. It crowned with the beauty of nature. Everywhere has covered with green plants and trees. I enjoyed the wedding party and spent around a week staying there. It is based in Kerala. It is called “Trivandrum”, the capital city of Kerala. It has wonderful beach, spas and Harbor. Let us travel through this green city of India in this article.

There are many temples and churches in Trivandrum. We have nice boating and boat house. Let see few significant tourist spots in Trivandrum.

Kovalam Beach:

It is one of the loveliest beaches in the world. It is 16kms away from Trivandrum. It is the favorite beach for all the travelers since 1930s. It is the most popular hangouts in India. It is covered with coconut trees. It promises a relaxed stay. It is the white sand beach.

The boundless blue water of the Arabian Sea adds more beauty to this city. There are showcases of handicrafts, jewels and clothes spreaded along the waterfront. Travelers can enjoy sun bathing, beach hand ball etc. There are delicious sea food are available at the beach side restaurants.

Palace Museums:

It is the recently opened Museum located in several wings of the palace of Travancore Maharajahs. It is open from 8:30 am to 12.30pm and from 3 to 5:30pm. The entry fee is Rs.5

Museums, Gallery & Zoo:

The Natural History Museum has an ethnographic collection and the Keralan style Nayar wooden house. Sri Chitra Art Gallery show cases beautiful Indian paintings which includes Ravi varma, Svetoslav and Nicholas Roerich. The Zoological Gardens are well established with woodland, lakes and highly maintained lawns.
The Science and Technology Museum highlights the science growth and technological advancement. It is a popular place for students from various countries.

Veli Tourist Village:

It is the wonderful village bordered by Veli lagoon and the Arabian Sea. You can enjoy seeing the water sports, Gardens, floating bridge and Waterfront Park. I really liked the food varieties in Kerala. Especially I enjoyed the Puttu with Banana. It is a dry recipe. It is yummy eating with Banana. Akkulam Boat club is a nice picnic spot with boating facilities. Shangumugham is another beach provides wonderful vacation.

Neyyar Dam:

This Dam provides picturesque view. It is a wonderful treat for your eyes. We can enjoy the view of the lake and the mountain. Lion safari is another attraction. It has crocodile farm and boating facilities. Lake Garden and the swimming pool entertain the visitors.

Ponmudi:

It is a nice destination for trekkers. It is a cool hill resort provides peaceful time. There is abundance of Orchid growth here. Bird watching is another enjoyment in Ponmudi. Ultimately I enjoyed being in Trivandrum. I am waiting for another time to take a trip to Kerala. It is a nice tourist destination in India.

The Queen of Green Hills in India

The color green is the gift of god. He blessed natural green lawns and green hills and green forest for us to rejoice and be happy. Green offers peace to our eyes and mind. It is basically a pleasant color. This article would take you to the wonderful greenish hill station “Mussoorie”. It is fascinating with flora and fauna and has beautiful hill resorts and spas. It is a fabulous destination for honeymooners and newlyweds. It is located in the state of Uttarakhand in North side of India. It has got a picturesque view of the Himalayas and the Doon valley. Mussoorie stands magnificently among the foot hills of the Himalayas. It stretches up to 12 miles long and staying in between the river Ganga on one end and river Yamuna on the other end.

Musoorie provides wonderful tourism for the state of Uttrakhand. Apart from its own beauty, it boasts in the splendid vision of the Himalayan ranges covered with snow and the charming. It has wonderful climate during the summer and be prepared for the cold, if you are visiting this place for your winter holidays. You can expect freezing weather and snow falling during the winter. Hence, it’s another enjoyment that Musoorie could offer you. The tourist spots in Musoorie includes Camel back road, the town mall, gunhill, children’s lodge and the municipal garden. It is the hub of waterfalls. You should visit kempty falls, bhatta falls, mossey falls and jharipani falls.

Traveling to Mussoorie is quiet convenient as it’s well connected with buses and train. The nearest airport is located in Dehradun. It is connected to proper roadways towards all major towns and cities such as Uttaranchal, Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. It is a wonderful city provides comfortable accommodations such as 5 star, 3 star or budget hotel stays.

Sightseeing in Mussoorie includes Lal tibba, it is a beautiful 5 km uphill walk from picture palace to the highest point of Mussoorie. You have to pass through the Landour bazaar to reach this place. Kempt falls is an astonishing waterfalls and it is a popular travel destination. You should visit happy valley. Dhanaulti is about 28 kms from Musoorie. It is a wonderful forest area later converted into two Eco parks by the government. You can do shopping from Himalayan weavers. You get hand woven shawls, stoles, scarves and throws. These are all made using the natural dyes. They are environmental friendly and good for your skin as well. You will not feel any irritation.
